"When I first started thinking about recording this project, I started thinking about what style of blues I liked best. So I started reflecting back on my blues influences. Should I record a hard-core blues tune from my idol, Koko Taylor, who inspired me to 'come into the blues'? What about the blues of Bonnie Raitt? Or how about the sweet sound of "At Last" from Etta James? So, after carefully searching my heart and soul, it hit me: Blues has no boundaries! It's about feeling.
